I love stationery.  It is a joy to write with pens and pencils with beautiful design.  Luckily, Hong Kong is a city with lots of stationery store.  So whether you are buying stationery for Back to School, or even getting a birthday card, or some beautiful journal for yourself. There are many shops in town.

Read on below for a complete list of stationery stores in Hong Kong.  The stores are listed in the order of usefulness, and quality of offering. 

Below is a list of the best stationery stores in Hong Kong:

No.1 - ESLITE BOOK STORE (Hong Kong)
ESLITE Hong Kong is a book retailer from Taiwan.  It has 3 stores in Hong Kong.  Eslite doesn't just sell books, it has a large selection of Japanese stationery.  Pencils, notepads, gel pens, pencil cases, stickers.  You name it, they should have it.














ESLITE Hong Kong is opened till late.  Each of the stores usually have a coffee store with the store as well.  So your  visit is more entertaining.  

ESLITE Hong Kong's three shop locations are:
• Taikoo Shing store - Directions - Take the MTR train and get off at the TAI KOO STATION. Opened until 10 pm usually. 
• Hysan Place store - They are three floors of stationery, books, and a tea store.  Directions - Take the MTR train to CAUSEWAY BAY STATION.  Opened until 10 pm weekdays, 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.
• Harbour City Store  - Take the MTR and get off at the TSIM SHA TSUI STATION. Opened until 10 pm.

No.2 - LOG-ON

Log-on is a life-style goods store.  It is similar to the LOFT store in Japan.  Unlike ESLITE Bookstore, LOG-ON does not sell any books.  LOG-ON store sell may other household goods too.  LOG-ON also have a large collection of stationery from Japan.  

LOG-ON has many locations across Hong Kong.  The stationery section is always well stocked lots of variety.  ESLITE is still the best choice.

• Causeway Bay Store - No.27 Paterson St.  Take the MTR train to CAUSEWAY BAY STATION.  Opened until 10 pm each night.
• Times Square Store - No.1 Matheson St. Also located in Causeway Bay.
• APM Store - APM Level 1. Take the MTR train to KWUN TONG STATION. 
• Langham Place - MONGKOK MTR STATION.

No.3 - The GOODTTT Store

THE GOODTTT STORE is an online stationery store in Hong Kong.  GOODTTT is focused on selling fine stationery from Japan.  The Goodttt Store is the only online store in this Top Ten list of stationery store.  For one particular reason, usually they sell most of quality stationery items you can find at ESLITE and LOG-ON.  

Prices are reasonable and most ite
ms are the better than any store. 
Delivery starts at HK$8 only.  1/2 the price of any MTR ticket. 

I was impressed with their service.  Items are wrapped beautifully.

No.4 MUJI Hong Kong
MUJI Hong Kong, another lifestyle store from Japan.  MUJI sells lots of household items and some furniture.  Their focus is simplistic styling.  And MUJI has a good selection minimalism themed stationary.

MUJI is ZEN cool.
















Some of MUJI Hong Kong's store has a restaurant built-in.  The menu is focused on healthy ingredients western style menu.
• Lee Theatre Store - At No. 99 Percival Street. Causeway Bay
• Hopewell Centre - Cafe&Meal MUJI, 183 Queen's Road East, Wan Chai.    10 minutes walk from WAN CHAI STATION.


No.5 SOGO Hong Kong
Everyone knows about SOGO.  Instead of the escalator, take the lift to the 11/F.  This entire floor is dedicated to fine stationery. SOGO also has a Japanese Bookstore as well.   SOGO has a total of 16 floor of shopping and is the only genuine department in Hong Kong. 






















No.6 The Commercial Press

This is an oldie but a goodie.  It was found in 1897.  The Commercial Press has at least 10 stores in Hong Kong.  This is the tradition channel for books. It is more academically focus with a wider selection of Chinese books.  

At each of Commercial Press stores, they also sell a selection of most recent Japanese Stationery.  

No.7 UNY Hong Kong




















UNY is a department store from Japan.  Located inside Cityplaza at TAI KOO.  Under Japanese management, it has ample selection of Japanese stationery.  

Beside a good selection of stationery, it has a supermarket and various household goods.

By taking the MTR to TAI KOO Station, you could visit three stationery stores within one shopping mall.  ESLITE, MUJI, and UNY.


No.8 HKDTC Design Gallery 




























This stationery store by HKDTC features lots of unique local designs.  What you find here will not be found elsewhere.  It is located inside the PMQ in Central.  A cultural site. 

HKDTC Gallery is about 15 minutes walk from Lan Kwai Fong.  Closes at 8 PM.

No.9 BOOKAZINE













Inside the Prince Building in Central, BOOKAZINE has a large of selection of books, some stationery and cards. Lots of materials for children and adult. 

No.10 AEON Living Plaza












While it is number 10 on the list.  LIVING PLAZA actually offers the best value.

LIVING PLAZA sells everything for HK$12. It mainly stock items from DAISO JAPAN, a chain of 100 Yen shops in Japan.  They have a good selection of stationery, too.  Very budget friendly.

LIVING PLAZA has more than 20 locations in Hong Kong.
